The Independent Guild of the Sarum Use aims chiefly to foster unity among the Christian faithful through the common practice and study of the English patrimony in such a way that is accessible to all. We endeavour towards ecumenism and the strengthening of our fractured heritage through the common exercise of the liturgical, historical, and fraternal.
The liturgy is central to our Guild's function. However, our Offices remain strictly non-Sacramental. As a group which inhabits a space between the Catholic and Anglican Communions, we are incapable of facilitating access to the Eucharistic rite of Salisbury in such a way that would not entail taking an explicit stance on the complex and contentious issues surrounding Sacraments and Holy Orders.
